Loan-Readiness Infrastructure for Farmers

From the slope

to the bank.

We turn agricultural activity into trusted data that unlocks financing.

The Vision

Microfinance that unlocks large-scale financing for agroforestry and climate-smart agriculture — aggregating smallholder farmers into the financial system.

Aggregating the unbankable into financing at scale

“We have convinced the farmers in our twelve irrigation dam watershed areas to abandon yellow corn and to shift to agroforestry.” — Mayor Tin Antonio, Alcala, Cagayan (GMA News, 2020)

03 The Stakes

Microfinance as disaster prevention.

Strip a slope of native trees for yellow corn and it stops holding water. The hillside erodes, the rivers swell, and the valley floods.

  • Slopes stripped of trees — “particularly yellow corn farming” — drive the flooding
  • Financing the shift to agroforestry rebuilds the watershed that holds the soil
  • MFI makes that shift affordable for the farmer who can’t self-fund it

Every farmer financed off the slope is a flood that doesn’t happen. The return on this loan is measured in disasters prevented.

04 The Solution

We structure agricultural activity into trusted data.

An LGU-co-funded transition: get farmers off the deadly corn, onto safe livelihoods, and into the financial system — one verified record at a time.

01Onboard the farmer to a digital profile — the first time they exist to a financial system.
02Fund a $300 micro-facility, matched by a PHP 1,500 LGU co-fund, tied to financial-literacy milestones.
03Transition off corn into a native-tree nursery and a safe crop — keeping interim income, steepest plots first.
04Graduate the farmer to a real bank loan — de-risked, the bank pays us per opened account.

The same record that makes a farmer bankable today makes their land carbon-ready tomorrow — carbon is the upside, not the engine.

05 The Workflow

From first profile to PHP 300,000.

01 Onboard Voice-guided digital profile
02 Funded $300 MFI + PHP 1,500 LGU
03 Milestone 1 Digital sales + expenses
04 Milestone 2 Small business plan
05 Two Tracks Tree nursery / scale rice
06 Graduate PHP 300k ANYO loan

The farmer keeps servicing corn for interim cash while a small plot becomes a native-tree nursery — the LGU's reforestation program is the built-in buyer. Carbon credits accrue later as a repayment booster.

06 Business Model

We get paid to open de-risked accounts.

NowLGU program budget — co-funds PHP 1,500/farmer and buys native trees for reforestation. Government is customer #1.
NextDevelopment & branch banks pay a fee per de-risked, newly-opened farmer account. ~5% of a PHP 300k loan.
$0Zero credit risk to us — banks and the LGU fund the loans. We originate and de-risk.
Unit economics

~+$10,550 net per 100 titled farmers — ~$265/graduated account × ~70% graduation, less ~$80 cost-to-serve. No balance-sheet risk; the LGU match cuts net cost further.

Demand signals

LGU willing to co-fund PHP 1,500/farmer; development banks reported willing to buy de-risked accounts. Two funded signals, pre-pitch.

07 Moat 1 — Data

First to put these farmers on a digital system.

🆔
Pre-trusted profiles

Verified identity, land tenure, and activity for farmers — and rated profiles for landless workers. Nobody else holds this.

📈
Pre-credit

Milestone-built sales and expense records turn invisible farmers into underwritable borrowers before a bank ever looks.

📚
Book of business

A growing roster of graduation-ready accounts that banks and LGUs pay to reach. The asset compounds with every farmer.

The moat isn't a feature — it's being first. Every onboarded farmer and rated worker is a record a competitor would have to re-earn from zero.

08 Moat 2 — Technology

Computer vision + edge AI for field verification.

  • Built on prior computer-vision patents (US8593522, US8180158)
  • Growth mapping and object tracking for nursery + planting proof
  • Runs on cheap phones — low bandwidth, low light, offline
  • Turns a photo into evidence a banker will trust

Verification is the lock between farmer and banker — proof the work happened, without a loan officer on the slope.

09 Moat 3 — Distribution

We don't chase farmers — institutions hand them to us.

🏛
LGU + reforestation

The LGU wants corn off its deadly slopes. Its reforestation + agroforestry rollout is our distribution and our nursery buyer.

🌾
Co-ops + gov programs

Agricultural cooperatives and national programs already manage farmer groups at scale. We plug into existing trust.

🤝
Labor marketplace

A free marketplace connecting landless workers to titled farms that can't find labor. Rated workers, more productive farms, future borrowers.

Labor makes titled farms perform, which lowers default, which makes the bank pay more — the network effect feeds the revenue line.

10 Market

Philippines first. Upland farmers, nationwide.

Start where the pain is sharpest: upland corn farmers on landslide-prone slopes, served through one LGU, then replicated province by province.

  • ANYO program: Individual SFF loans up to PHP 300,000 via ACPC
  • National reforestation + agroforestry rollout buying native trees
  • 3.5M+ farmers reachable through co-ops and government programs
